What it shows: Each coin in one of four boxes, by which way its price and its open interest went over the last 24 hours. Open interest is the money in open futures positions: it rises when new positions open and falls when they close. A coin that moved less than 1% either way, in price or in open interest, is in none. The figures after each coin are its price change, then its open interest change.
How to read it: Open interest counts each position once, with a buyer on one side and a seller on the other, so its change says whether traders are opening or closing. The price says who was keener. Price up while positions open, a coin at +4.0% · +6.0% for example: buyers were paying up to open new bets, "new buyers". Price up while positions close: short sellers buying back, "sellers giving up". The four boxes are a common way of reading futures markets, not a finding of ours, and not a signal to trade. Every contract has a buyer and a seller, so "new buyers" means the buyers were the ones paying up, not that only buyers arrived. What it shows: Every coin's open interest now, in US dollars, across Binance, Bybit, OKX, Gate, Bitget, MEXC and Hyperliquid, and its change over 1 hour, 4 hours, 24 hours and 7 days. The changes are counted in coins, not dollars, so a price move alone does not show as one. ÷ mcap: open interest as a share of the coin's market cap. ÷ volume: open interest on Binance and OKX over their last 24 hours' trading. 90d rank and since 2022: where Binance's open interest in coins sits against its own past, 0 the lowest hour, 100 the highest. The line: the last 7 days, hourly.
How to read it: A change of +10% over 7 days: 10% more coins are tied up in open bets than a week ago. ÷ mcap of 5%: the bets on the coin add up to a twentieth of everything it is worth; high for a small coin means forced selling, when it comes, can hit hard. ÷ volume of 0.50×: the open positions are half a day's trading. A 90d rank of 95: open interest is higher than in 95% of the hours of the last 90 days; 100, at its highest. Short record: Binance's reaches back to 2022 for most coins, the other six exchanges' only to 12 to 14 Oct 2026, so the 7-day change and the line are new.
