What it shows: This coin now, from the order books (Coinbase spot and OKX perpetual) and the futures exchanges. Hover or tap a box for what it means.
How to read it: Green is up or buyer-heavy, red down or seller-heavy. Together they tell the day: say the price is down, longs are most of the liquidations and open interest is falling: borrowed buyers were forced out. Funding and long/short show which way traders lean now; a lean far from usual is the crowd crowding.

What it shows: The order book over the last 24 hours: each thin column is a five-minute snapshot, its brightness the US dollars waiting at each price, with the price line through it and liquidations from OKX, Bybit, Binance and Gate as dots, sized by dollars (Binance's a lower bound: its feed sends only the largest per coin each second).
How to read it: Bright bands are walls: below the line, buyers waiting; above, sellers. Watch the price meet a band: it stalls, bounces or breaks through, and a band that vanishes just before the price reaches it was pulled. Red dots are longs forced out, white shorts. The book is read to 5% either side of the price; past that the chart is left plain, and a faint line marks where the record stops. One missed read is drawn as the read before it; a longer gap is left plain, with a tick on the time axis.

What it shows: The price bands holding the most US dollars in the order books now: bids (waiting to buy, below the price) and asks (waiting to sell, above).
How to read it: Walls are levels the price may stall at or bounce off until they are eaten or pulled; a big one close by matters most. They can be cancelled in a second: intent, not a promise.

What it shows: Open interest, the US dollars in open futures positions, on each exchange, as its change since the first moment all were recorded, beside the price's change.
How to read it: Rising with the price: new money joining the rise. Rising as the price falls: new shorts, or longs adding. A sharp drop: positions closed, often by force. A venue apart from the others is its own traders at work.

binancebitgetbybitgatehyperliquidmexcokx-200%-150%-100%-50%+0%+50%22:0002:0006:0010:0014:0018:00

What it shows: Funding on each exchange, as a yearly rate: what one side of a perpetual future pays the other to keep its price near the spot price.
How to read it: Above 0 longs pay shorts: more traders want to be long and pay for it. Below 0, shorts pay. Around +11% a year is common; far above is a crowded long, below zero a crowd of shorts.

data to · read every 5 minutes

Premium by venue · the future against what it follows

binancebitgetbybitgatehyperliquidmexcokx-1.00%-0.50%+0.00%+0.50%+1.00%22:0002:0006:0010:0014:0018:00

What it shows: Each exchange's future against the price it follows, the exchange's own index: the mark price over the index, less 1. For a coin, the index is its spot price across several exchanges; for a share or a fund, the share's own price.
How to read it: A future at $100,100 with its index at $100,000 is at +0.10%: traders pay a little over to be long. Below 0, sellers are leaning on it. Funding is the fee that pulls the two back together, so a premium that stays high tends to come before high funding. One exchange far from the rest: its own traders crowding a side. For a share, while its market is shut at night and at weekends the index may stand still, so the line drifts with traders' guesses and snaps back at the open. Each exchange builds its index its own way, so the lines are not measured against quite the same price.

What it shows: Binance's ratio of traders net long to net short: its top traders by margin, counted by position and by account, and all its accounts.
How to read it: Above 1, more long. The crowd usually leans long, so the level matters less than the change: a sudden swing, or top traders leaning against the crowd. The Lab tests whether these lean the right way.

What it shows: Market orders each hour, the traders who buy or sell at once rather than wait: buys above the line, sells below, in US dollars on Binance and OKX (five-minute buckets both have closed).
How to read it: Bigger buys than sells: buyers were in a hurry, usually with the price rising. A burst of one side is urgency, or a stop-loss and liquidation cascade.

What it shows: The long view, a point a day from Binance's archive: the price on a log scale, the US dollars in open futures positions, how far traders lean long, the crowd's and the top traders', and funding as a yearly rate.
How to read it: On a log scale equal steps are equal percentage moves, so a halving looks the same in any year. Open interest climbing to a peak with the price is a crowd borrowing to chase it; the sharp drops after are those positions flushed out. Long/short above 1 is more traders long; the crowd usually is, so watch for when it is unusually so. Funding far above 0 is longs paying heavily to stay in; it has often run highest near past tops.
